The training is suitable for therapists and professionals who wish to add hypnosis to their skillset and also for those with no previous knowledge of hypnosis who would like to do the course for their own personal development.Overview
The course covers the foundation requirements for using hypnosis with clients. You will enjoy learning from talks, demonstrations, lots of practise work in groups, interactive discussions, reading and writing assignments. A course manual will be provided along with a helpful script booklet to get you started with your new skills once you have completed the course.
What’s covered?
You will learn how to use hypnosis as a powerful stand-alone tool for helping yourself and clients with many everyday problems. You will also be fully prepared for using hypnosis for conducting regression therapy sessions.
The course includes:
- Introduction to Hypnosis and Clinical Hypnotherapy
- The different hypnosis inductions and when to use them
- How to deepen trance
- Hypnotic suggestions including indirect and direct hypnosis principles
- Affirmations and Future pacing
- Ideo-motor signalling and Anchoring
- Ending the trance state
- Rhythm and voice control
- The client interview and how to build rapport
- Working with measureable symptoms
- How to structure a complete hypnosis session and personalise it for a client
- Hypnosis applications
- Ethics, client contra indicators and safe practise when using hypnosis
Certification
A Certificate in Hypnosis at Foundation Level, accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) enables you to register with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) at Affiliate status. For certification, you will need to:
- Complete the 4 day course
- Complete and return the pre-course and post-course theory question assignments
- Use hypnosis and hypnotic suggestions under supervision with 5 clients and produce a written summary of the sessions on the template provided. Multiple sessions are required with at least two of the clients.
- Produce a self-hypnosis or relaxation recording for assessment
